About Chung
Touch and movement are fundamental aspects of our human experience, allowing us to cultivate a sense of community that fosters safety, freedom, creativity, and bonding among individuals.
Hello! My name is Chung Nguyen (he/them). I'm a dance artist, somatic movement facilitator and registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist with an interest in somatic and contemplative approaches to healing and arts. I'm also a professional member of the Pacific Association of Craniosacral Therapists (PACT). I was born in Vietnam and moved to Naarm/Melbourne in 2022.
My treatment approach is client-centred, relational, and holistic, emphasising the power of presence, deep sensory listening and cultivating therapeutic relationships. I appreciate that an individual's body has its own unique dynamics, movements and stories that are constantly expressive, and that the only way to connect with them authentically is through the present moment.
Utilising my palpatory skills and empathetic presence, I aim to hold a safe and nurturing space where clients can explore, be curious and gain awareness of their bodily sensations and emotions through Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) and mindfulness-based exercises.
I've supported clients with a range of presenting issues, including chronic pain, stress, anxiety, and injury recovery, and I also enjoy working with members of the LGBTIQA+ community and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In my free time, I enjoy cycling to Merri Creek (around Ceres), taking a stroll along the river, listening to the soothing sound of the river and birds, and sitting with the trees.
